ONE DAY SEMINAR ON THE TOPIC DEMOCRACY AND PARLIAMENT ATTENDED FOR STUDENTS OF PRIMARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION
In February and March at the Educational Center of the Parliamentary Institute, two one-day educational seminars titled "Democracy and Parliament" intended for students of primary and secondary schools in Macedonia were organized.
The purpose of the seminars is to present the work of the Assembly to the young population, which will contribute to develop their awareness of the benefits of democracy.
Through lectures, video screenings and games, students established and expanded their knowledge of democracy, parliamentary democracy and its historical development in Macedonia, the principle of separation of powers, the role of parliament in the political system of the Republic, the election of MPs, the procedure of passing laws in Parliament and so on.
Students and teachers who attended the seminar were awarded a certificate of participation.
Also, students had the unique opportunity to closely learn about Parliament through a guided tour of its most representative premises.
