MR. HAJRULA MISINI ATTENDED THE COSAC MEETING IN COPENHAGEN
At this COSAC meeting Macedonia received strong support from the Parliaments of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The Chairpersons of the Committees on European Affairs of the Baltic countries submitted a joint statement to all the COSAC members asking for opening of the EU accession negotiations with the Republic of Macedonia and inviting the Danish EU Presidency to include this matter in the EU agenda.

ADDRESS of the president veljanoski on THE PARLIAMENT, PUBLIC OPINION AND THE MEDIA
Speaking of the position and the role of the parliament in this new and digital media, I have to underline that the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia has done many qualitative steps forward. The introduction of the E-Parliament provided an overall transparency of the whole legislative process. The redesigned parliamentary website provides the citizens to contact their MPs or political groups and submit proposals, ideas and remarks. The Parliamentary TV Channel broadcasts all parliamentary sessions, scrutiny debates and meetings of the Assembly’s bodies and tends to start a new, interactive program which will include not only the MPs but all social entities, including the citizens.

The President addressed in the First Session- “The crisis of the European unity,what shall we do?”, Ms, Maria da Asunaco Esteves was introductory Speaker. MP Workshop on the Use of European Union Databases
The focus of this workshop was to provide a practical introduction to the everyday use of European Union data bases, especially those which are needed for parliamentary work on EU issues and in the legislative process. Topics included the introduction of the main information sources about the European Union and a general introduction to the Europa internet website, how to find EU legislative and non-legislative documents in these internet sites, and an overview of the national parliamentary EU data bases of EU member states
