KIRO URDINS’S MULTIMEDIA PROJECT- STRONG MESSAGE FOR PRESERVATION OF NATURE
The Chairperson of the Parliamentary Group of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for Cooperation with the Parliament of the People’s Republic of China, Ms. Silvana Boneva, and the members of the Group attended the ceremony organized by the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Macedonia where the Macedonian visual artist and film director Kiro Urdin received the prestigious award from the International Animal and Nature Film Festival held in Ya’an, People’s Republic of China.
In her address Ms. Boneva said that this event is important because it joins two countries, Macedonia and China, which are very different in size and distant from each other, but at the same time two countries that are very close. Quoting Kiro Urdin’s slogan “One point everywhere, everything in one point”, she said that he is a point which travels around the world in order to unite the people. She spoke about his film which is a result of his travels to Africa and about his project Planetarium that came into being after his two-year journey around the world.
Ms. Boneva added that Kiro Urdin’s gift to the world is a multimedia project with a strong message to all of us - we must protect and preserve nature. Love of mother-nature is the dominant feature in his art and philosophy that will be his legacy to posterity.
With his art he reminds us that we must protect and keep clean our planet Earth because in that way we protect ourselves, the flora and fauna, and we will have something wonderful to leave to the future generations, concluded Ms. Boneva.
