UNOFFICIAL MEETING BETWEEN MS. SUZANA SALIU AND MS. JOZEFINA TOPALLI
The Vice President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Ms. Suzana Saliu, today met with the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, Ms. Jozefina Topalli.
During the informal lunch meeting they stressed the good parliamentary cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Albania.
They also discussed the exceptionally important role of parliaments in the European integration of the countries, as well as the importance of having fair and democratic elections for the overall democratic development of the countries, having in mind the fact that both Macedonia and Albania are in a pre-election period - Macedonia will hold local election in April, and Albania parliamentary elections in June.
Ms. Saliu and Ms. Topalli talked about a series of other issues, especially the challenges facing the parliamentarians of the two countries.
