Visit by the Delegation on Foreign Policy from the European parliament, headed by Mr. Alojz Peterle of the Republic of Macedonia
Upon an invitation from the Foreign Policy Committee, Ms. Teuta Arifi, the Delegation on Foreign Policy from the European Parliament, headed by Mr. Alojz Petrle, visits the Republic of Macedonia from 17th to 19th February 2010.
This is first official visit of the Delegation on Foreign policy from the European parliament and is realized in cooperation with the EU Mission in the Republic of Macedonia .
It is expected that the perspective of the Republic of Macedonia for EU membership, the accomplishment of the remained obligations stipulated in the EP Resolution on the Progress Report on the Republic of Macedonia, the conditions in our country as well as the opportunities for accelerating the accession process will be main topics of discussion.
In accordance with AFET agenda , the committee will have meetings with: the President of the Republic of Macedonia , Mr. Gjorge Ivanov, the prime minister of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia , Mr. Nikola Gruevski, many ministers, party leaders, NGOs. On parliamentary level the Delegation will be greeted by the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski and the Members of the National European Integration Council. Mr. Petar Pop-Arsov, Chairman of the Committee on European Issues will attend these discussions.
The meeting with the foreign Policy Committee will be held in the Constitutional Hall in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia on 18th February 2010 at 18:00 .
