“INCLUDED CITIZENS FOR ACCOUNTABLE AND TRANSPARENT ASSEMBLY”

The aim of the Project “Included Citizens for Accountable and Transparent Assembly” is to improve the work of the Assembly through inclusion of citizens in an informed debate on the role of the Assembly and the election reforms.

The implementation of the project was started by the Civil Association MOST in July 2016 and it is to be implemented until March 2018.

In this segment of the Project, the activities are comprised of monitoring the work of the Assembly through drafting an Index of Productivity of the Assembly and opening a debate on the role of the Assembly in the process for adoption of laws and the need for inclusion of all stakeholders.

In the framework of the project, a Periodic Reports shall be drafted, informing the public, the media and the civil organizations on the work of the Deputies, as well as the manner in which the Assembly exercises its role envisaged by the Constitution. 

A web page www.otvorenosobranie.mk was launched as part of the Project, where the citizens can receive all information in regard with the Project and the work of the Assembly. 

The final aim is contribution to the essential debate for the legislative solutions, through inclusion of all stakeholders in the process, which will contribute in the improvement of the Index of the productivity of the Assembly in the future. 

Since the establishment, MOST and the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia have cooperated and jointly implemented numerous significant activities and projects. In addition to the cooperation projects, MOST monitored the work of the Assembly throughout the years. Part of the projects which were implemented by MOST has reached institutional and financial sustainability.
