Meetingof the President Veljanoski with Mr. Stephen Jones, MP for Throsby, Australiaand Chairman of the Australian-Macedonian Group for cooperation

The President of theAssembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski expressed hisappreciation for the meeting and underlined the positive impressions from therecent official visit to Australia. The President Veljanoski underlined thatthese meetings will improve the bilateral relations with friendly Australia,which demonstrate constant positive tendency.

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski, expressing his appreciation for the meeting, underlined the role of UN, as well as of the Secretary General, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, in the process of solution of world issues, especially the world peace. Additionally, he briefly informed the UN Secretary General on the work, the composition and the activities of the Assembly

ADDRESS of Mr. Trajko Veljanoski, President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia at the official finalization of the IPA Project- Technical Support for the parliament

It is my sincere pleasure that today, after 18 months from the beginning of the project for strengthening the capacities of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia in the European Integration process and the negotiation process; we are officially finalising the project and reviewing our achievements and results. In the same time, this project is a verification of the achievements of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia noted in the EC Progress Reports on the Republic of Macedonia.

MACEDONIA AND INDIA - FRIENDLY COUNTRIES WITH SUCCESSFUL COOPERATION

The Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia Mr. Antonijo Milošoski met with the Minister of State for External Affairs of India Ms. Preneet Kaur. Ms. Kaur is the first high level official from India to visit Macedonia.

The President Veljanoski underlined that the relations between the Republic of Macedonia, the Republic of Austria and  the Republic of Slovakia are characterized with friendship and understanding, and confirmed the fact that the support from these countries is sincere and important.

The President Veljanoski opened the 51th Balkan Festival of Folk Songs and Dance

It is my sincere pleasure to be here today, and even more pleased by the fact that in the past few years we have been marking the opening of the Balkan Festival of Traditional Song and Dance together, especially considering the long tradition, continuity and importance of this Festival. I am pleased by the fact that the Balkan Festival of Traditional Song and Dance is an event that is recognized not in Ohrid and in Macedonia alone, but also abroad; this event receives special attention and respect.

The Law on Health Care and the Law on Health Protection, as basic laws in the field of health care in the Republic of Macedonia, were the main topic of discussion at the meeting of the Committee on Health Care of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare of the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo.
