Meeting of the President Veljanoski and the Group for SWEDISH- Macedonian friendship from the Parliament of SWEDEN

The participants agreed that the Republic of Macedonia has implemented the EU reforms and directives, even though it is now a Member State of EU, since these reforms and conditions are not only a condition for membership in the Union, but a benefit for the citizens and for the state.

Ms. Bishop acknowledged the contribution of the Republic of Macedonia in the NATO led missions and said that, as soon as the new Australian Foreign Minister is appointed, she will submit a written request for Macedonia's recognition under its constitutional name, facilitation of the visa regime for the Macedonian citizens, as well as opening of Australia's consular office in the Republic of Macedonia.
