MEETING BETWEEN PRESIDENT XHAFERI AND THE AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF ROMANIA, H.E. VIOREL STANILA
At today's meeting between the President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi and the Romanian Ambassador, H.E. Viorel Stanila, the interlocutors highlighted the friendly and constructive cooperation between the two countries and in that regard, President Xhaferi thanked for the great support that the Republic of Romania has given to our country on our path to full NATO membership, as well as the strong and unequivocal support for getting a date for the start of EU negotiations and expressed hope that, in the future, this support and cooperation between the two parties will continue with the same intensity.
The Romanian Ambassador congratulated President Xhaferi on his second term as leader of the Assembly, expressed compliments and satisfaction for his work, as well as for the overall cooperation with the Romanian Embassy.
Ambassador Stanila expressed satisfaction that the Republic of North Macedonia, after three decades, finally has the opportunity to become a member of the international Black Sea Economic Cooperation / 
BSEC, which is currently chaired by the Republic of Romania. The President of the Assembly assured his guest that he will make every effort to see all procedures at governmental and parliamentary level which are needed to join this organization are finished by November 13, 2020, when our country should be admitted to the BSEC in Bucharest.
At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors agreed that they will continue their mutual cooperation at the highest level.
