the 13th issue of the JPC The Republic of Macedonia- EU newsletter is published

At the beginning of this month the new issue of the JPC the Republic of Macedonia –EU Newsletter was published. The current issue presents the conclusions from the Inter-Community Relations Committee which condemn the incident at Kale and appeals on responsibility, understanding and interethnic respect in the Republic of Macedonia.

PRIORITIES OF THE HUNGARIAN PRESIDENCY WITH COUNCIL OF THE EU PRESENTED IN THE MACEDONIAN ASSEBMLY

The priorities of the belgian presidency with the council of the eu presented

At a joint session of the bodies working on European integration in the Parliament, among which the Joint  Parliamentary Committee EU - Republic of Macedonia, the priorities of the Belgian Presidency were presented. Addressing on behalf of the EU, the Ambassador Erwan Fouéré asked that the Republic of Macedonia continues with the reforms in the field of administration, judiciary, the implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement and the strengthening of the political dialogue.

Mr. Štefan Füle, the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighboring Policy, addressed the Parliamentarians from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and from the European Parliament at the 7th Meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Committee European Union - Republic of Macedonia, held on 19 and 20 February 2010 in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.  The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, the Coordinators of the Parliamentary Groups, the members of the National Council for European Integration, as well as the members of the Committees on European Issues and on Foreign Policy of the Assembly were also present at the meeting.

Introductory Address by the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Veljanoski on the Public Debate on the occasion of 9th February- the European Day on Safer Internet

How can we provide safer internet? In my opinion we cannot expect one institution or one discipline to answer this question, but there must be cooperation between disciplines, departments, but also inclusion of the NGO sector and the Private sector. In the same time we must keep the freedom of access to information, and prevent violation of human rights.

The Co-Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee Republic of Macedonia – EU (JPC - Republic of Macedonia - EU), Aleksandar Spasenovski, who is visiting Brussels, had a meeting with his colleagues from the European Parliament - the Members of the Delegation to the Joint Parliamentary Committee Republic of Macedonia - EU, as well as with other Euro-Parliamentarians.
