Evaluating the relations between the two states as very good, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski underlined that they are progressing constantly and that there is a mutual interest for their development and promotion, in the spirit of good neighbourly relations, on every level and in all areas. This is not only in the interest of the two states, but also contributes for the stability of the Region and its Euro-Atlantic perspective.

THE CHAIRMAN OF THE EUROPEAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, MR. HAJRULA MISINI, AT THE COSAC CONFERENCE IN CYPRUS
Mr. Misini said that the EU enlargement policy was one of the most successful policies of the Union, emphasizing the importance for the Republic of Macedonia to receive the date for opening the accession negotiations at the December Summit of the European Council. He reiterated the commitment of the country to the implementation of the reforms, aimed at reaching the European standards.

THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI HAD A MEETING WITH THE VICE PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC, MR. MIROSLAV LAJČÁK
In anticipation of the Progress Report on the Republic of Macedonia, the President Veljanoski underlined that he expects the Republic of Macedonia, for the fourth time, to receive a recommendation m the European Commission on opening negotiations, hoping that by December, the European Union will determine date for opening accession negotiations with the Republic of Macedonia. He underlined that the major part of the public is pro membership in NATO and EU and that the full-fledged membership in NATO and EU is the strategic and firm determination of the Republic of Macedonia.

The Vice President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Ms. Svetlana Jakimovska underlined that the Interparliamentary Scholarship (IPS), as an activity of the Bundestag,wich in cooperation with several faculties and the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia is traditionally being implemented in the past 11 years, as well as that it is being presented in the public, directly contributing in the task- young people to be the bridge between the parliaments, in the same time being participants in the reforms necessary for the European integration.
