INTER-COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMITTEE
The legal position and competences of the Inter-Community Relations Committee derive from Amendment XII of the Constitution and the Law on the Inter-Community Relations Committee (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia no. 150/2007).
Pursuant to Article 2 of the Law on Inter-Community Relations, the Committee shall be elected by the Assembly within 60 days from the constitution of the Assembly.
Pursuant to Article 3 of this Law, the Committee shall be comprised of 19 MPs, as follows: seven members from among the Macedonian MPs, seven members from among the Albanian MPs, one member from among the Turkish MPs, one member from among the Vlach, one member from among the Roma, one member from among the Serbian and one member from among the Bosnian MPs.
If there are no representatives from а certain community, the Ombudsman, in consultation with the relevant representatives from those communities, and after receiving opinion, will propose the other members of the Committee from the appropriate community.
