WORKSHOP FOR THE ASSISTANTS OF THE PARLIAMENTARY GROUPS
In October 2016, a two-day workshop on "Legal drafting, work resources and international experience", took place in Strumica. The external associates of the parliamentary groups of VMRO DPMNE, SDSM and DPA, the civil servants from the Assembly, NDI and one scholarship holder attended the workshop.
The participants were presented with the resources available to the Parliamentary Institute and the Office of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia. International experiences regarding the work of the external associates, experiences from the Bundestag and the US Congress were shared. In addition, emphasis was given to the need for exchange of information and timely communication with the executive authorities at the request of Members of
Parliament.The work shop was intended to advice on the drafting of legislative acts, the structure of legislative, while the need for a manual on legal drafting regulations which would help to achieve a greater legal clarity, was emphasized.
