Meeting of the President Xhaferi and the representatives of the media  

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, at the regular monthly meeting with the accredited journalists announced that the MPs will be on vacation until 20 August and afterwards they will have to finalize all obligations in the legislative house until 10 September, the day when the pre – referendum campaign starts.

Meeting of the Vice President Misovski and the Prime Minister of Romania, Ms. Dăncilă

The Vice President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Goran Misovski met the Prime Minister of Romania, Ms. Viorica Dăncilă. He welcomed the delegation on behalf of the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi and expressed hope that the strong support from Romania on our Euro – Atlantic path will also continue in 2019, when Romania takes over the Presidency with EU.

Meeting of the President Xhaferi and the European Commissioner Hahn  

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi met Mr. Johannes Hahn is an Austrian politician who has served as European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, whose visit to the Republic of Macedonia initiates the screening process of the European Union on the level of harmonization of the national legislation with the Acquis Communautaire.

ADDRESS OF THE VICE PRESIDENT VESEL MEMEDI AT THE OPENING OF THE 57TH BALKAN FESTIVAL OF FOLK SONGS AND DANCE

Allow me at the very beginning, as a representative of the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi to greet the attendees, especially our guests, the dancers from the region who are participating in this year’s 57th Balkan Festival of Folk Songs and Dance.

This Festival has welcomed over 50 000 dancers, singers and players in Ohrid, not from the region alone, but from around the world. Hence this festival is globally recognized and is member of several international folklore association including the International Organization of Folklore Arts, IOFA.
