MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI WITH THE LORD SPEAKER OF THE UPPER HOUSE OF THE PARLIAMENT OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND, BARONESS D'SOUZA
The President Veljanoski noted that today's meeting is another confirmation of the friendship and partnership that Macedonia has built with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and a confirmation of the willingness of both sides to intensify the relations and cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. He also expressed satisfaction from the opportunity to jointly to contribute to the promotion of the relations between the two countries, which have traditionally been good and have a continuous development.

JOINT PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE- ANOTHER BRIDGE FOR CONTINUATION OF THE COOPERATION BETWEEN MACEDONIA AND TURKEY

THE THIRTY-FIFTH ISSUE OF THE BULLETIN OF THE JPC
This double edition, for the months of July and August 2013, covers the activities of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia related to European integration, including the official visit of the President of the Republic of Slovenia Mr. Borut Pahor and his meeting with the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia Mr. Trajko Veljanoski, during which there was, once again, an exchange of opinions towards obtaining a date for the opening of accession negotiations between the Republic of Macedonia with the European Union. in that context. At this meeting there was an expression of willingness by the Republic of Slovenia to do everything in its ability to facilitate the integration of the Republic of Macedonia.

MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND, MR. BRONISŁAW KOMOROWSKI
During the meeting, the President Veljanoski expressed his pleasure and appreciation for the permanent support that the Republic of Macedonia receives from the Republic of Poland. In relation to the European integration process of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Veljanoski highlighted that the turbulent past of the Balkans is behind us and that the citizens of the region look towards the European future of all the Balkan states. MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, MR. TRAJKO VELJANOSKI, WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA, MR. IVO JOSIPOVIC
At the beginning of the meeting both speakers agreed that there are no open issues between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Croatia, and that the bilateral relations on all fields in the last period are in a steady growth. During the meeting, President Veljanoski highlighted that with the accession of Croatia into the European Union, the Republic of Macedonia has another friend in the European family, while also highlighting that euro-Atlantic integration were a permanent commitment of both states. President Veljanoski also added that both states pursued this path together, but because of known reasons the Republic of Macedonia was blocked by our southern neighbor.

THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI HELD A MEETING WITH THE SPEAKER OF THE CANADIAN SENATE MR. NOEL KINSELLA
He noted that this visit represents another confirmation of the good relations between the Republic of Macedonia and Canada, which of course will continue to grow. President Veljanoski expressed his pleasure in relation with the formation of the Canadian-Macedonian Parliamentary Group for collaboration within the Canadian Parliament, in March this year. With the formation of this group, through direct contacts and meetings with the Macedonia parliamentary group for collaboration, it will be much easier to use the capacities offered by parliamentary diplomacy, which in turn will contribute to the further development of mutual relations. During the meeting, President Veljanoski gave his gratitude for Canada's recognition of Macedonia's constitutional name in bilateral relations.
