MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT XHAFERI WITH THE AUSTRALIAN MINISTER BISHOP 

Within the frames of the official visit to the Republic of Macedonia, today the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi had a meeting with Mrs. Julie Bishop, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Australia. This visit corresponds with the beginning of the reformatory processes in the Republic of Macedonia, which started with the constitution of the new Government and represents the first official visit of a high official from Australia since the independence of the Republic of Macedonia, from 1991 till today.

ADDRESS BY THE PRESIDENT XHAFERI AT THE 56TH BALKAN FESTIVAL OF FOLK SONGS AND DANCES

Tonight, here with you, we are gathered to open this wonderful manifestation, the 56th Balkan festival of folk songs and dance. This magnificent celebration of the folklore, which is the oldest of this kind in the region, successfully represents and affirms the cultural heritage and achievement of the countries and peoples from where the participants during these 56 years are coming.

MEETING OF PRESIDENT XHAFERI WITH THE IRANIAN AMBASSADOR KARIMI

The President of the Parliament, Mr. Talat Xhaferi met today with the Ambassador of Iran to the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Hosein Karimi. 

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador expressed words of congratulation for the election of Mr. Talat Xhaferi for the President of the Parliament of Macedonia, wishing him success in the further work and used the opportunity to deliver the letter of congratulation from the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Hasan Rouhani.

MEETING OF THE PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION WITH THE MAYOR OF ULCINJ, MR. NAZIF CUNGU 

In the continuance of the first official visit to Montenegro, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi and the deputies, Mr. Maksim Dimitrievski and Mr. Xhevat Ademi, met with the mayor of Ulcinj, Mr. Nazif Cungu and with the representatives of the municipality.

PRESIDENT XHAFERI MET WITH MR. VUJANOVIC, MR. PAZIN AND MR.ZENKA 

The first official visit of the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi to Montenegro was evaluated as a confirmation of the excellent bilateral relations between the two states, relations which are constantly nourished.

ADDRESS BY PRESIDENT XHAFERI AT THE CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO STRENGTHENING AND THE ROLE OF THE PARLIAMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

It represents a special honour and pleasure for me to open the today's Conference dedicated to the strengthening and the role of the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia. The Parliament is one of the key institutions for the return of the Republic of Macedonia to the democratic flows and Euro-Atlantic integrations, and that is why I am convinced that the topics proposed for the today's discussions will result with a constructive debate.

MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT XHAFERI WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF ROMANIA, H.E. VIOREL STANILA

At the today's meeting with the ambassador of Romania, H.E. Viorel Stanila, the President of the Parliament of Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, welcomed the support so far that Romania gives to the Republic of Macedonia regarding the Euro-Atlantic integrations and expressed hope that this process of integration in EU and NATO will have a new and stronger dimension in the next period.

MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT XHAFERI WITH THE HEAD OF THE LIAISON OFFICE OF REPUBLIC OF GREECE IN SKOPJE, THE AMBASSADOR MR. DIMITRIS JANAKAKIS  

President Talat Xhaferi welcomed the Ambassador of Republic of Greece and expressed satisfaction for the good signals and signs of the deepening of the cooperation between the two countries after the recent visit of the Minister of foreign affairs, Mr. Dimitrov to Athens.

MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT XHAFERI WITH THE NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF JAPAN TO THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, MRS. KEIHO HANEDA 

President Xhaferi, at the very beginning of the meeting, expressed his pleasure and congratulated the first resident ambassador of Japan based in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia and expressed hope that now, even better conditions for deepening and intensification of the cooperation in all fields will be created.
