OPEN DAY OF THE ASSEMBLY  

Today, in the framework of the Open Day, 272 citizens, including students from primary and secondary schools, visited the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia. 

They visited the facilities of the Assembly; were informed on the history of the building as well as the main characteristics and the work of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.

NIKOLOSKI CHAIRED THE SPRING SESSION OF PACE  

„Имам чест на мојот македонски јазик да ви посакам успешна работа" – “It is my honor to wish you successful work in Macedonian”, this is how Mr. Nikoloski started the Chairing of the Spring Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the oldest and largest in European Parliamentary Assembly comprised of 318 MPs from 47 countries. Although official languages of the Presidency are English and French, Nikolovski seized the opportunity for using the Macedonian language to greet the MPs.

ADDRESS OF THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI ON “STRENGTHENING THE POLITICAL DIALOGUE” 

The political dialogue, inter alia, is one of the basic principles which the European Union was created. In the same time, these matters as benefits of the civilization rise on the level of obligatory democratic standards for all states in the world. Western Balkan, which is undoubtedly part of Europe rapidly adopts these European civilization benefits. The period when problems were resolved with guns rather than words on the Balkans, is part of our dark past. We have chosen to work towards achievement of something which naturally belongs to us – the community of European people and states. Nevertheless we have to resolve the remaining open issues.

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski attended the Reception and had a brief courtesy meeting with the President of the Italian Republic, Mr. Segio Mattarella.

 The Republic of Macedonia so far achieved many development projects and activities and in the future the focus shall be on motivation of the competitiveness, providing better conditions for the local businesses and creation of more and better working positions.

Meeting of the President Veljanoski and the Delegation of the Republic of Turkey on the Occasion of the International Roma Day  

The occasion for the meeting, in addition to the International Roma Day was the promotion of the Community called Balkan – Roma Union – BAROM. Mr. Nezhdet Mustafa is the Head of the Management Board. The Delegation of the Republic of Turkey is comprised of officials who assisted in the establishment of this Community.

Meeting of the President Veljanoski and the Mexican Ambassador, H.E. Ramon Xilotl Ramirez  

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski had a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Mexican States to the Republic of Macedonia located in Belgrade, H.E. Hose Ramon Xilotl Ramirez. The President Veljanoski welcomed the Ambassador and wished him successful work.
